Color Scheme Designer
Updated
The color scheme designer is not only an incredibly useful web application, it’s also a very elegant one. The designer, although it appears to be flash-based, is actually a careful combination of the jQuery library, some custom JavaScript, graphics, and xHTML.
When designing an application of this nature, it would have been easy to forgo elegant design in the interest of function. Props to <a href=”http://www.pixy.cz/”>Petr Stanicek</a> for so excellently combining the two.
The little things that are so neat:
- Simulate color vision deficiencies
- Permanent link to the color scheme
- high-key (light page) and low-key (dark page) simulated mock-ups
- Export the colors as a Photoshop color palette, GIMP palette, CSS, or plain text
- <strong>Extremely simple to use</strong>, extremely simple to customize every detail
